Important Note

If you are a US citizen and your flight routes through the UK at any point — even just a layover/connection — you WILL need a UK ETA to board your flight. This applies even if you’re not leaving the airport.

Train

There is a direct train from Dublin Heuston Station (city centre) to Thomastown, which is a 10-minute drive from Mount Juliet. The journey takes about 1 hour 45 minutes, and advance fares start from €14 one-way when booked online via Irish Rail. Once arranged in advance, the Mount Juliet concierge team can coordinate pickups from Thomastown Station.

Car Rental

All major car rental companies operate from Dublin Airport. Full list here. The drive to Mount Juliet takes approximately 1 hour 35 minutes. Please note: driving in Ireland is on the left-hand side.

Private Transfers

You can pre-book private transfers from Dublin Airport through Airport Taxi Transfers, with pricing from €250 each way depending on vehicle type. A local Mount Juliet provider, Nore Cabs (+353 83 889 9043), offers transfers for €200–€300 each way, depending on group size.

Ride-Share Apps

Uber and FreeNow are available in Dublin, but are limited in county Kilkenny. For long-distance journeys to Mount Juliet, pre-booking a transfer is strongly recommended.
